Âé¶¹Éçʼþ Professional Learning Registration Is Moving

New Professional Learning Platform Coming September 1st

Professional learning registration is moving to Âé¶¹Éçʼþ Learning Online at , creating one centralized platform for professional learning across all Iowa Âé¶¹Éçʼþs.

Beginning September 1, 2026, professional learning support will be coordinated through the statewide Âé¶¹Éçʼþ Learning Online team at Heartland Âé¶¹Éçʼþ. The refreshed platform will offer authorizations, courses, trainings, and certifications, with online, virtual, blended, and in-person opportunities all in one place.

This statewide transition is designed to create a more consistent experience, reduce duplicate work across Âé¶¹Éçʼþs, and give educators one place to find learning opportunities and track their professional learning records.

What This Means for GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ

  • At Grant Wood Âé¶¹Éçʼþ, Carie Finnegan will continue to assist with local room reservations at GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ for professional learning offerings held at GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ locations.
  • Our Professional Learning Office now houses the GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ Data Team (formerly known as IMS-Information Management System). We no longer maintain an office space dedicated to professional learning.
  • Emily Birkbeck does not support professional learning at all at GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ moving forward. She is no longer in the administrative assistant role in Professional Learning as she currently serves in the role of Executive Administrative Assistant now with new roles and responsibilities.
  • Carie Finnegan provides support to Professional Learning by making room reservations (locally) at GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ for any courses/PD offerings offered at one of our GWÂé¶¹Éçʼþ locations.
  • All PD correspondence about course proposals; course approvals; communication between course instructors; registration; Âé¶¹Éçʼþ Learning Online questions and/or issues; billing; and all other professional development questions or concerns will be handled by Âé¶¹Éçʼþ Learning Online at Heartland Âé¶¹Éçʼþ.

These changes are part of a broader effort to create a more cohesive statewide professional learning system and make it easier for educators to find, register for, and track learning opportunities.
